Oriental lilies...after the rain

Posted by
Japanalia (Yokohama, Japan) on 21 July 2015 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

There were two very tall and strong stalks in the community garden and I was waiting to see which kind of lilies they were going to bring forth....And there they were, the many white lilies, first as buds, and then opening one by one. But...there was such a big number of flowers on each of the two stalks that....they bowed forward. The the big rains came and I thought they were finished...but they were not! Almost kissing the ground, the flowers were blooming happily!
After the rains stopped I went to look at them again....and found nothing!
Probably the person who had put them there, had cut the part with the flowers to take them home...and left me disappointed....
