The Japanese Keukenhof....

Posted by Japanalia (Yokohama, Japan) on 6 May 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

The Showa Memorial Park (established in 1983) on the outskirts of Tokyo can very well compete with the famous Dutch Keukenhof Garden. Every spring the beautifully landscaped area around the main pond and brook reminds the visitor of Holland, of its famous tulips and landscaped gardens. We go to see the scenery and the flowers almost every spring and are never disappointed. Only that...it gets ever more crowded every season, not only with visitors, but with photographers....more or less amateurs.
