Birds enjoying the cherry blossomsPosted by Japanalia (Yokohama, Japan) on 30 April 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. Yoshiyuki managed to capture these birds in the park near to the Institute where I work. They are very noisy, shrieking actually, not chirping, and they look at you with such a disdainful eye that I had to shoo them away when they had the nerve to land on my balcony (hoping for some rice seeds). But...inside the blossoms, drinking their nectar, they have a different effect.
