The first narcissi of January....

This is meant for our friend MadScientist who was wondering at one of my latest postings asking whether there were still leaves in the trees around here (?!) Not only that there are plenty of leaves in the trees, but the flowers are making their surprising entrance on the stage. These white narcissi have been shot by Yoshiyuki on January 18 during a short walk in the neighbourhood. It's true that the gardens and fields are still asleep, but the first marks of the coming spring make their presence known to our greatest delight.
