Launched in Yokohama, made 238 trans-Pacific luxury, troop, repatriation and emigration crossings between 1930-1965. Now permanantly moored in old home port just in front of the old & new Grand Hotel. It used to be a Youth Hostel, next a museum of sorts with her old luxurious interiors and brass well preserved and a restaurant favoring wedding celebrations. Has been closed down for several years as the municipality cannot decide who is going to take care of it from now on.
