How lovely this is! I think the Japanese must own more umbrellas than any people of the world. We only see them used during heavy rain, but you use them to protect from the sunshine as well.

And this is why the Japanese have such beautiful complexions. (their use of umbrellas for shade from the hot, hot sun.) The placement of your lady with her black umbrella amongst those great big green leaves makes for a wonderful composition.

@Marion: It is not only the parasols, which is a real trend this year, but an entire parafernalia of clothes, hats, gloves, creams....to cover oneself and fight the strong sunlight!
