Well, yes, that's the name of the shop! You might ask me why? Does it have anything to do with a banana, or a republic? No, of course not! It is a clothes store for young people....but Japanese like strage associations when it comes to names of stores, companies, buildings and so on.... I was attracted by the window display, found it creative, even stylish.

I agree; their graphics are usually very good. Your photo does it justice!
International marketing reaches Japan, I see. GAP, BANANA REPUBLIC, OLD NAVY & PIPERLIME (which I don't know of) are all in one company.
