@Michael Skorulski: We have one under our very noses! Usual sight in suburban Japan! The best think is to HEAR the swishing sound under the breeze!

I've been here before, not too long ago, just at the end of june, so I'll post my view of the bamboo forest on my blog too! The greens there were amazing!!!

We've never seen Bamboo so LUSH ... but we've been short on rain for a long time, so that may be why. We have heard the "swishing" in the wind.
A neighbor of ours in our previous home planted some bamboo and Mike was a little upset when the roots came into our yard, some 50 feet away. The two men found it's a difficult plant to get rid of, once it begins to spread, but they did it. ;D

Haha! I'm not exactly sure of the name of the place since my Japanese reading skills aren't that good lol. But I was in a bamboo forest in Yokohama so I was guessing it was the place ^^"
