Kamo Iris Nursey : Old KURA (storehouse)

Posted by Japanalia (Yokohama, Japan) on 12 June 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

The building is part of the shoya's estate. Such a structure was and still is used for the storage of heirlooms and precious things. The building is very sturdy and can withstand typhoons and fires. It is also a fine piece of architecture! Here, again, the contrast of flowers against the white of the walls is refreshing and pleasing.
