A shot taken at Kamo Iris Garden, Kakegawa, Shizuoka prefecture. An old estate, transfered from one generarion to the other, where the rich farmers created this beautiful garden of mainly Japanese Irises. It is a thing of beauty and subtle elegance, especially on a rainy day, that leave one with a deep feeling of Japan.

Dear Gabriela, this is indeed a perfect Japanese 'painting' that you captured through you lens. Each Iris is edged with white, making them 'jump' right off the 'canvas' of greens. I love your composition!

I love them, wonbderful photograph, here we have only yellow irises, the purple ones are only in gardens and parks.
