Yoshiyuki went out early today to shoot the sakura in full bloom before the petals start falling. This is part of the road passing through our commmunity where the sakura trees make a sort of tunnel. People come from all over to drive under this tunnel or just for a promenade on the sidewalks.

This is so beautiful. Japan must be a beautiful country too! Do you speak Japanese good?

@Eleftheria, 9 years old,: I'm glad you like the images from Japan in spring, Eleftheria! (Yes, I happen to speak Japanese quite well after 25 years here.)
What a beautiful tunnel made of pink blossoms. Spring is surely gorgeous in Japan.

Full bloom in Tokyo?! I thought yours were later than ours..

@Daroru: They are one week earlier this year. Last year, we went to Shinjuku Gardens in Tokyo on April 1st and the trees were at their best! And in the gardens there were almost 100,000 visitors on that day only!
That's an amazing sight and beautifully captured. I feel like I'm there, Gabriela.
