A few trees, at the edge of some farming patches, which delight us with their blossoms every year. These ones are rather big, but there are plenty of smaller peach trees that smile from gardens and enclosures quite unexpectedly. To tell you the truth...the variety of blooming trees is so big that...I have no idea WHAT KIND of trees they are!!!! At least I know the cherries and the peaches.....even on my plate!

The pink is exquisite, almost unreal.

So touching beautiful! Peach blossoms are in our country the symbol of non-attainable romance, here they won't blossom. I agree with MaryB, she takes the words out of my mouth :) (Dutch way of saying). Very Japanese, those 2 figures. I read in the newspaper what I already suspected: Japanese artists prefer to paint people somewhere (not in the centre) or in the edges of a surrounding decor which is as important as the portrayed people, and here I see it again. (Western artists emphasize the people and the surroundings come second or are only a decorating framework) - this was a result of a scientific research of Japanese and European art works.

Beautiful sign of the spring.

Just great, the blooms are overwhelming, but the two figures make it a great composition! Unfortunately, our cold snap last week killed a lot of flowers, same drama as last year! :-(

from your pictures I get the impression the whole area is a riot of blooming trees!

Gosh I wish I was in Japan right now...so many beautiful blossoms...sigh. Our cherry blossoms are as deep a pink as these trees are. Beautiful Gabriela.

@Janice Thomson: If they are as PINK as these ones, then they are not cherry blossoms. There are cherry blossoms that bloom later, are a pale pink in colour and have manifolded petals, do the flowers look very rich and bigger in size.
Another nice one! Will you be allowed to pick the peaches when the time is right?

@martie: Martie, these trees are meant for blooms, their fruits are not edible. As is the case with most of the cherry trees.
Beautiful!... I just saw the cherry blossoms in DC earlier today and they're definitely more of a white/light pink. I envy you.

@e.: The cherry trees in Washington, D.C., along the Potomac river, have been presented to the city by the Japanese sometime around 1912 or so. Not all cherry blossoms are white, some are a pale rose, others a pale pink, some have simple flowers, some others have multiple petals, some flowers are big, some others are small. There are hundreds of types of cherry trees and when you find them in one park...then they make your day!!!!
A gorgeous POV and wonderful vibrant colors. A delight, Gabriela.

A beautiful image ... the point-of-view ... the balance of colors ... and the two visitors walking along the path ... all combine to evoke a magnificent spring-like setting.

Lovely colors!

Beautiful colors, and I like the composition with the trail and people on the right. Slightly elevated perspective makes it look like an old woodblock print of the Edo period. Well done.

Bonjour Gabriela,

I love the pink of those peach trees. The point of view with the path and the women is very nice.
