This is a new series through which I intend to show you how the place around my home looks in spring. The cherry blossoms are decorating the streets, parks and gardens. The peach blossoms give a most delightful accent with their candy-like pink. And then....spiraea, daffodils of all shapes and colours, pansies, camellias in trees or in the grass....and so many others...I do not know their name, but they are all suddenly alive and blooming!Japan turns into a HUGE garden every spring and we are all getting a sort of fever......flower-fever! .......................................................................................................... If you are curious, you can see our picture in the "about"!

Saludos!

This is so beautiful. You live in a lovely neighborhood, Gabriela. I imagine it is your building on the left?

@Michael Skorulski: No, it is not, Michael! I'll post one day a shot of our condominium building; it has 12 floors and we live on the 7th. Think how it is when earthquakes strike....which happens quite often!
nice shot (jwana) :)

You live in a wonderful neighborhood, Japanalia! I also admire how you "play" with colors. I 'm also discovering now how I can bring more atmosphere in my pictures by photo-processing. The standard colors are often not what you want the picture to be. In my latest picture e.g. the color of the sky is too blue, it's often too exaggerated on the camera sensor.

Bonjour Gabriella,

Dear Gabriela - I have finally taken some time to see a few photos. What a beautiful series of your springtime this is. Each photo deserves comments, but I will stop here for a moment to tell you things are getting a bit better here. We met with our minister yesterday and finalized plans for the memorial service on April 10th. Each day we are feeling just a bit more at peace. Warm hugs, Judy
