Gazing at the blossoms......(Yoshiyuki's)

....three ladies in traditional apparel tread gently through the garden. They've dressed up for the plum blossoms viewing! This is something done with gentle admiration, respect and even shyness....the plum blossoms are the miracle of Nature waking to life after her long sleep.

My husband managed to capture them from a much better angle than I did, so I choose to show you this piece of Japaneseness. I was very touched to see these ladies making such an offering to the beauty of Spring!

I also found a haiku, by Mori Ogai, to express my having been unaware of Nature's beauty for almost half of my life.
"...never have I
stopped to gaze at something
for long
my feet that tread on life
have been too healthy."
