...wish it were my window!!!! No such luck living on the 7th floor! But...if it were my window, I'd most certainly be there every morning counting the buds and the blossoms! For they are here today...and gone tomorrow....Like fleeting images of our lives!
..................................................................................... A haiku by Buson: "Red plum-blossoms: The setting sun assails Pines and oak trees."

The blossoming red plum tree looks so promising, Gabriela. Is there a haiku on plum blossoms to accompany your photo?

The colors of the flowers are gorgeous! Great capture. :)

Beautiful, Gabriela. Marta, my wife, also counts every new bud and blossom.

Yes...beautiful indeed. Gorgeous colors. Are they flowering already over there?

can it be more japanese? When is the big plum-blossom fiesta?
19 Feb 2008 7:04am
@the lightwriter: There's no such fiesta that I know of! The festival [matsuri] will start with the sakura viewing [o-hanami], when all Japanese get crazy! They MUST view the cherry blossoms and get drunk under the trees!
Breathtaking...I'm trying to imagine such freshness while gazing out of my window at the huge snow storm...sigh

Regards from me

I like the reply you gave to lightwriter: 1) see cherry blossoms 2) get drunk :-) To get back to your photo, I like the angle with the building behind, but I might have tried to get one branch with just the sky as background, just to compare.
