Late December afternoon on Lake Ashi in Hakone. I took this shot from the lounge of the Narukawa Museum of Art in Moto-hakone, through glass. The Museum has a magnificent view of the lake and...if you are lucky...of Mount Fuji. The late afternoon light was touching the holy mountain, the red gate of the Hakone Shrine and the little red bridge, while one of the many pleasure boats was heading for the pier. Peace in nature and peace in our hearts!

I don't think this should be a postcard, they are too small. It should be an oversized calender! This is such a perfect composition!

Hi Gabriela. I have old slides of this lake from 35 years ago or so when I made my first trip to Japan, so I'm really enjoying this one. You've done a beautiful job with the composition and atmosphere, here. A belated congratulations on your 100th photo on aminus3, too. It's a great family to belong to!
