Flight over Genpei Pond at Kamakura (Yoshiyuki's)

Yoshiyuki's shot of this January view over the Genpei Pond at Kamakura. The waterfowl wait for people to feed them, they fight and wait and fight some more and....suddenly.... up they go in a flutter of white feathers....only to return on the water and start the cycle again. The pond is famous for its beautiful huge lotus flowers....of which you see no sign now as they are hibernating in the mud at the bottom.
