View of the Sankei-en Inner Garden in winter dress. In the foreground the Teisha bridge and in the background one of the buildings belonging to Rinshunkaku (the spring-viewing pavilion) - a villa of a feaudal lord (daimyo) family.Built in 1649 in Wakayama, it was moved to this garden and rebuilt in 1917.The Inner Garden at Sankei-en is an elegantly landscaped area around many such architectural delights.

For a relatively small island, Japan contains such beauty and you have captured yet another wonderful spot. I love how the trees are planted up the hillside beyond the wonderful pavilion.
