This is one of my husband's shots. He later made it into a pastel. I think it is a beautifully shot still life. He found this lamp in a shop at Yokohama, being used as decoration.

Ohhhhhhhhh, Yoshiyuki knows, this is the subject of one of my favorite sketches of his. The composition is wonderful, with the lamp slightly off-center, the diffuse glow to the right and light on the wall are perfect!

i think it has the charm of the old objects. seems a hand lamp as that formerly used by the lighthouse keepers. very interesting subject and composition.

The photograph is very strong and firm in colors and composition, it says a lot in visual language if you understand what I mean (and you do I'm sure). Wonderful!
