A corner of the Sankeien Garden in Yokohama in January. It is the most beautiful Japanese garden in the city, it celebrated its centennial last year. It is not only a jewel of Japanese garden landscaping, but it contains also a priceless collection of old Japanese houses, from lordly manors to temple halls and a variety of teahouses. These structures are set among trees and ponds and you have the impression they have been there since times immemorial. It is a four seasons garden, so it is interesting to visit it at any time of the year.

Those wonderful lines formed by the trees in the foreground really move the eye around. Excellent!

Wonderful capture ..... the trees' angles, different bark, and what I expect is Bamboo in the background, all join to create a lovely photo.

Mossy trees are fascinating. These are very unusual in the various directions they hang. The colors are wonderfully earthy.
