I saw him from a distance, crossing first a parking lot, then the alley and entering the grove, stepping quietly on the carpet of dry leaves. He entered the grove and then, suddenly, turned round and came towards me. Sat at a distance and started to beg, then he just sat like a ball on all his fours...begging even stronger with one eye and winking with the other. What was I to think? Was he hungry? Was he courting my attention? "Crazy cat!"- I said. Did you know what he did?He just left! Outrageous, isn't it?!

What a funny expression he put on for you, but since you had nothing to feed him, he looked for greener pastures? I love the color of his coat!

@Judy: Thank you, dear Judy, for the visit! I see you're on line; it is 7PM here, so try to count the difference of hours, 'cause I have no idea. What I know is that I have already lived the day of Jan.15, while you haven't.Right????
He looks like a real tough, as a beggar should perhaps. A nice, endearing image.

@GJC: I don't think he is tough, GJC! He was mewling too much! Tough guys don't beg!LOL! Thanks for the visit!
Cute shot! He's certainly vocal!!

@martie: Not so cute, but certainly vocal! When the begging had no result he gave me the fierce eye, changing position! Thanks for the visit!
He's beautiful, he probably just wanted to chat and if per chance you would throw him some food...;)

@Daroru: I totally agree with you! I might meet him again and we'll see!
He merges so beautifully with the leaves in your photo, Gabriela. Lovely warm colors. He looks extremely well-fed like the cats that visit us every day to gobble up the food we have just put out for our kitten. Cats can be such scrounges.

@Michael Skorulski: It is rather unusual that there are stray cats around, maybe because there are old ladies, too! (Thanks God, no stray dogs in Japan!)Cats know how to look after themselves! Thanks for the visit, Michael!
Very nice shot Gabriela. I like the focus around the cat leaving it a bit blurry. Great clour tones and lighting

Thats a really funny tale, that greedy begging cat.....still, if it didn't try, you wouldn't have had such a fun photo opportunity. Nice one.

@Richard_Irwin: Right so!I did take several shots...'cause he was not begging all the time!

Cats and dogs are often smarter than we think. When we talk about our dog, even without mentioning his name (we say "the dog" because if we mention his name he is immediately alerted) then it is if he understand we talk about him. I think your cat understood what you said and felt insulted. Not that he understood it literally, but it's the tone of the voice, and maybe associations of the sound with experiences of how you behaved in the past saying the same. Having a pet and observing it is very interesting! Don't we also "understand" facial and bodily expressions of our animals? BTW great picture of a cat drawing attention!
