January flowers: Narcissi

Captured them today, in the afternoon, as I took a walk in the neighbourhood. These delicate, small flowers were seriously blooming in groups and chattering like crazy!They look so innocent, but they can be such gossips!

I like the colors, Gabriela. But I think my favorite part is the bud just ready to bloom. It holds such promise. My wife is an avid orchid collector and she's always showing me such buds. Plants are gossips because by nature they're green with envy.

LOL! You're right, don't talk in their presence :). The Japanese have always been faithful visitors of the Keukenhof, a great flower exhibition in the Netherlands in a large park, where lots of bulb flower species are exhibited. I bet that these ones are the grand- or grand-grandchildren of Dutch ancestors, purchased in the Keukenhof.

@Illuci: My dear Friend, I'm WELL AWARE of the beauty of Keukenhof (especially at tulip time!) from the numberless albums I watched on WEBSHOTS - the site where I have the bulk of my photos - though I unfortunately did not have the chance to visit it in person. My only trip to Holland was one week in July 1987 and I saw quite a bit of the beauty of your country, but no Keukenhof!
Thank you for the visit and appreciation! I most particularly love flowers and taking photos of them gives me the greatest delight!
