You wait and wait...... And turn into a stone from waiting. Your life flows away blank and uneventful. You tell me there's wisdom in the solid stone, It bears the storms and icy winters and lies, unchallenged, by the scorching sun. You wish you were a stone and have a thousand lifes to ponder. I....wish I were a song flying along on wings, across the time and through the ages.

This stone has many stories to tell, just as the one you've told. Your autumn has lasted a beautifully long time!

@Judy: Our autumn is finally coming to an end here, around Yokohama and Tokyo. It was late to arrive and this is a mark of the global warming. Winter will probably come sometimes in January. I love stones, Judy, because I believe they can tell stories. Thanks for the visit! Gabriela
I'm in awe of both the photo and the poem. If you're the poet, you are Exceptional !

@Lorraine: Yes, Lorraine, the poem is mine....but this is not making me "exceptional", just emotional, sensitive.....and I don't know that it made me any good in today's world. Unless...as a refuge. You made me blush with pleasure! Thank you!!!! Gabriela
Such amazing colours, those little leaves are a georgous shape. Fine words to accompany this shot

Oh I have never seen a Maple tree. Have only seen it on computer desktops. The leaves are so beautiful. Even after they fall... they make the fall look so beautiful

A beautiful image with wonderful colours. Excellent lines and use of space in this composition. And the poem, of course. Very creative all round!
