About Japanalia

My name is Gabriela and I live in Japan, near Yokohama.I took up digital photography about four years ago. With the advent of the digital cameras almost everybody can shoot something. Though I'm an amateur and no good at technicalities, I enjoy so much taking pictures that it has turned into my all time hobby. It certainly makes me forget about everything unpleasant in the daily life and it gives me great pleasure,also as I can share this hobby with my husband, Yoshiyuki. Photography has also made me more aware about nature, its beauty and healing qualities.

I intend to show here photos we take both of us on our expeditions and also things that we create at home.

Photography Equipment

I started with a Fuji Finepix, went on to a Canon A80 Powershot and use at present a Nikon Coolpix 5700, lens 35-280mm equiv (8x), F2.8 -F4.2.
As software, I use Microsoft Digital Image Pro 9 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.
